Good morning,
I just had a chance to check the CR website and learned that Sunday was not
a good day for motorcycles staying right side up. The letter said that you
were trying to ID the folks involved in the various collisions.
Corinna and I were the bike down on the Green Valley Road. As far as I
know, we were the only bike on the pavement from that one. We were going
around a short, downhill curve when the outside bike ahead of me dropped
into the line that I was riding. I wasn’t able to correct in time, but
almost got slowed enough to let the other bike get by. I’m not sure whether
my front tire made any contact, or not, but our bike laid down. The other
bike kept going, and I have no idea who was on it. As far as we are
concerned, it was “one of those things that happens”.
All things considered, it was not a terribly serious event. Corinna got the
worst of it, cutting her knee open and requiring a trip to the ER for 15
stitches. I got away with some nice road rash and a Technicolor bruise on
my leg that goes from my hip to my knee and it looks just like the Muppet,
“Cookie Monster”. It’s very cool. The bike just had cosmetic and accessory
damage, and I was able to ride it home.
The King County Sheriff’s office responded, but did not make an accident
report on the incident. I don’t know if the WSP would have any record of
it.
We did not get any names of the folks who jumped right in to get the bike
up, and stayed to help Corinna until the medics arrived. If you have their
names and contact info, I would like to send them a sincere “thank you”.
Let me know if you need any more information.
See you next year!
Regards,
Tom Burke
Dear Wendy,
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you
and The Imagine Guild (and
of course, all of the sponsors) very much for putting on Children's Ride
13. I had an absolutely wonderful day participating in the ride and
enjoying the events of the rest of the day, and it feels great to have
been able to contribute in some small way to raising a lot of money for
a very worthy cause.
Besides saying "thank you", I also wanted to say that I am grateful and
very impressed at how well the event was planned, organized and
executed. With an event of this magnitude a lot of things can go wrong
and while there are always things that can be improved, you should be
very proud of how well everything went and how professionally things
were run. Please share my comments and appreciation with anyone that
was involved.
Keep up the great work, I look forward to participating for many years
to come!!!
Thank you,
Dave Esp

Wendy,
You did an amazing job on Children’s Ride 13!
It was great to be a part of it. Thank you for
all of your help with us, the Make a Wish
people, and for fielding our multitude of
questions and late additions. The Make A Wish
people had a great time. One of them had never
been up here before and to be able to drive her
around on a motorcycle with beautiful weather
was awesome.
Again, job well done,
Corey and Micheal
